Privacy Policy
How Dr Mobile & Computer Limited collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Dr Mobile & Computer Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have. It applies to our website (dr-mobile.co.uk), our stores, and the services we provide.
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly: your name, contact details and message when you use our contact form, email or call us; your name, contact details and device details when you book a repair or purchase; and payment information processed at the point of sale (we do not store full card numbers).
When you use our website we may also collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, via cookies and similar technologies — see our Cookie Policy.
How we use your information
We use your information to: provide repairs, sales and services you request; contact you about your repair, order or enquiry; keep records required for warranties and by law; improve our website and services; and, only where you have agreed, send you occasional offers or updates.
Devices left for repair
Devices may contain personal data. We access a device only as far as necessary to diagnose and repair the reported fault, and we never copy, share or retain your personal files. We recommend backing up and, where possible, removing sensitive data before leaving a device with any repairer.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example payment processors, parts suppliers for warranty claims, or IT providers), and where required by law.
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above — typically repair and sales records for the duration of warranty and statutory periods, and enquiry messages for up to two years.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) you have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any right, contact us at info@dr-mobile.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
